'Nobody who takes on anything big and tough can afford to be modest.’
From a monumental career in theatre and film, Simon comes to Loughborough to read from the second volume in his Orson Welles biography, Hello Americans.
Orson Welles is a legend. This Oscar winner broke barriers with films like Citizen Kane and created panic amongst millions with a radio tale of invaders from Mars. Regarded as a man of great genius and vision, Orson Welles was an inspiration to us all in both his life and work.
Eloquent and entertaining, Simon Callow will answer questions from the audience about the great director and will also conduct a book signing. You may be familiar with Simon from films such as Four Weddings and a Funeral and Shakespeare in Love.
