I've heard lots of talk about the Carringer book. And can anyone recommend any others?
You may remember me from such sites as imdb, amazon and criterionforum as Ben Cheshire.

There are really only two books specifically on Ambersons, Carringer's book and the BFI Classics book by V.F. Perkins, which is excellent. Carringer's book is fine for the script material, but your mileage may vary with the essay material.
