This year's Fringe Festival in Scotland saw the inaugural Carol Tambor award, which rewards a successful Fringe show with a transfer to New York City. Two shows won: Rosebud - the Lives of Orson Welles, and Sisters, Such Devoted Sisters.

Dear Gordon: Welcome to the Wellesnet Forum. The review of the play at the Edinburgh Festival you report is extremely interesting, especially the evaluation of the lead actor. There has been considerable discussion here of actors who might play Orson Welles competently in a theatrical motion picture.

Keep us informed the play's progress, and what this actor is up to. In my experience at the several Festivals I attended, plays and performers showcased there often go to other venues.
