Another Interview with Norman Lloyd

Postby Glenn Anders » Fri Jul 08, 2011 5:25 pm

Through the auspices of Eddie Muller's excellent Film Noir Foundation, you may witness an interview (in four parts) which Mercury Theater veteran Norman Lloyd gave at the Camelot Theater in Palm Springs, California, on May 11, 2011. Mr. Lloyd, now 97 years-old, is remembered by Wellesnetters for his startling performance as Cinna the Poet in Orson Welles' 1937 Broadway "modern dress" production of Julius Caesar, and much subsequent work in movies and TV, especially in conjunction with Alfred Hitchcock. Lloyd was interviewed after a showing of Alfred Hitchcock's THE SABOTEUR, his debut in Motion Pictures, and he proves as charming and insightful as ever. His remarks about Welles and John Houseman come in the second segment:

Thanks Glenn. Lloyd is definitely more of a Housemanite then a Wellesian, but it's good to hear his thoughts on the subject.
