Peter - what a delightful interview. It's such a refreshing read, so totally devoid of all the angst and controversy with which every other piece on Welles can't seem to do without. Great stuff. Thanks for sharing.

(One miniscule note, though: you quote KB as mentioning "Lester" Square. For European consumption, you might want to correct that to "Leicester". Cheers!)

Thanks for the kind words, all. It was a real pleasure to interview Baxter; amazing to me that so few (any?) of the biographers have ever talked to him for any length.

R Kadin - Thanks for the note on that misspelling. I'll have my editor correct it ASAP.

Cheers,

Peter

Add my encomium, Peter!

It's so great to have primary sources here.

I lack them myself sometimes, just when I need them, as you know.

A wonderful and illuminating interview which gave me many insights into the filming of CHIMES! Thanks so much, Peter, for sharing it with us.
