Patricia Medina

Here's an interview with Patricia Medina, still with us at 89 years young. Guess what she lists for her favorite of the films she's been in, her favorite film overall, and who she lists as her favorite actor and director.

Nice to see that Ms. Cotten Medina counts her role as Mily in Mr. Arkadin as one of two career favorites. Mr. Arkadin, in any version, is one of my "guilty" pleasures, and she is just great in it. A wonderful interview with a gracious and delightful woman.

Agreed: Patricia Medina exudes warmth and vitality here.

And for an actress who seldom received the roles she deserved, she is suitably modest.

That was a great interview! I am a Joseph Cotten fan as well and I think he is the most underrated actor in Hollywood history. Patricia is one classy lady, thanks for posting!

Patricia Medina was wonderful (and as always, easy on the eyes) in a darkly comic 1964 episode of The Alfred Hitchcock Hour titled SEE THE MONKEY DANCE, co-starring Roddy McDowall and Efrem Zimbalist Jr. The show was produced by Norman Lloyd. Keep an eye out for it.
Speaking of Lloyd, check out Jake Hinkson's riveting story in Noir City Sentinel on the effects of the Hollywood Blacklist on the cast and crew of HE RAN ALL THE WAY (1951) at http://filmnoirfoundation.com/He-Ran-All-the-Way.pdf
According to Hinkson, Lloyd (who plays John Garfield's accomplice in a payroll heist) "was out of work for years after being blacklisted until Alfred Hitchcock threw him a lifeline in the late fifties and hired him to help produce Alfred Hitchcock Presents."
