Hello all,

If you haven't discovered this yet... there is a wealth of Orson films available for download to your PC through the peer-to-peer sharing utility "Emule". Most are excellent quality. Sure, it isn't going to be something you can put on the shelf, but for those who do not have these titles, or are having a hard time attaining the films, at least you can watch them on your computer. Here's what's available so far, in no particular order:

-- One Man Band (special extended edition)
-- Around the World With Orson Welles
-- Orson Welles Magic Show
-- Falstaff
-- Immortal Story
-- F For Fake
-- The Stranger
-- The Trial
-- Othello
-- Citizen Kane
-- Big Brass Ring (movie made based on Orson's script)
-- Working With Orson Welles
-- Touch Of Evil
-- Lady From Shanghai
-- Don Quixote
-- Night That Panicked America (movie about the radio broadcast of "War of the Worlds")
-- Macbeth
-- Hearts of Age
-- Journey Into Fear
-- Moby Dick
-- Mr. Arkadin
-- Magnificent Ambersons
-- Dominici Affair (German Language only)

Of course, all the widely available films are there, but what is worth noting are the rare ones:

There is a user who has been posting many of the rare movies and has been putting a lot of care into their transfers, as well as making sure each film is as complete as possible. The "One Man Band" is particularly interesting, because he has combined the footage from both released versions (there was footage from both versions that were not in one another) to make an edit that includes all the footage.

The "Magic Show" is a compilation of all available footage from the show.

"Night That Panicked America" is low quality, but amazing to see that it is available. I have never seen a release on video of this anywhere!

Disclaimer: I don't advocate the downloading of copyrighted material. I suggest purchasing films that are available. This list is posted for those who do not have access to these titles. Download at your own risk.

I know there will be more to come... have fun!
