1982 Documentary - reasonably priced copy available?

VHS, LD, or DVD

Postby savehollywood » Tue Feb 04, 2003 10:16 pm

Just curious as to whether any of you might know where I could get a reasonably priced copy of the 1982 Documentary/interview of Orson in which he discusses his career. I have seen this for sale, but at outrageous prices.

Thanks in advance.

I know some people on the board here have it (myself included), so someone might be able to trade or otherwise work something out with you.

If this is the long BBC documentary, then I have just made a copy from the BBC archives. Problem is, video compatibility between UK and US videos. Otherwise could trade audio copy.

I would be more than happy to trade for it, but I don't have anything rare of Orson to offer... aside from maybe making copies of the radio performances I have. I have 2 CD-R's compiling well over 100 of his early radio broadcasts in mp3 format.

Otherwise, I do have rare stuff from other directors such as PT Anderson, Sam Raimi, Martin Scorcese, and Spielberg that I would be willing to trade.

I am interested in any rare Orson videos, but specifically the 1982 documentary. Also wouldn't mind having 'Making Othello' or 'Making Touch of Evil' or 'The Lost Cinema of Orson Welles' documentaries.

Please let me know if anyone is interested in trading something and I'll give you the specifics on what I have. Thanks!

I too would Love a copy of the 1982 Documentary/interview of Orson. I'm in the same boat though.... little to offer in trade as far as rarities. But certainly willing to send blank videos and postage costs! Maybe I have a radio show or two that you don't have. Anyhow, other stuff I'd love to get: Fountain of Youth, the LD version of Othello & Chimes At Midnight & F For Fake.

Thanks! Michael -- NMPTheatre@hotmail.com
