Question about the Corinth Arkadin

VHS, LD, or DVD

I have a question about Mr. Arkadin. After reading several old threads, it seems that the cut released by Corinth on video is the closest we have to Welles' cut. My question, does anybody know where I can find it. I can't seem to find a copy at ebay or half that says it was produced by Corinth Video. The availibility page here at wellesnet lists copys by Hen's Tooth and Home Vision but not Corinth. And unless I'm missing something, I can't find a page on the Corinth website that offers it for sale.

Was the Corinth version released through another distributor? Is it out of print? I'd love to trade for it, but being a new Welles-phile, I don't have anything that most of you don't already have.

Although their website might not explicitly state it, if you call them they will probably offer to do a one-off dub to VHS for you. As I recall, they charge something like $60 or $80 for that service.

Ya I actually did that, but i haven't had time to watch the tape to see the cut or verify the quality, though i am sure it looks good.

I received a dub of a tape someone bought direct from Corinth: Lower end of commercial VHS quality, in my opinion. Watchable, but lacking all nuance.
