Thanks for the tip. I actually wouldn't mind paying for the plug-in, if it's not too expensive. Trouble is, I haven't found one, yet.

i just got it, it's called adobe premiere mpeg plug-in; imagine that! also saw there total effects with a few dozen plug-ins, a plug-in for the aged film look, actually has dust and scracth control settings. and a plug-in called atmosphere (sounds very interesting). and a few mpge converters, and compressors.

Thanks. I found some info on Adobe's site that claims my version of Premiere came with a mpeg plug in but that it's not automatically installed. Time to dig out the CD.

It looks like the Ligos plug in is the one lots of people use, but it costs too much for my limited use.

Apologies to people reading this off-topic tangent. I'll refrain from further discussion of video technology in this topic!
