Welles films to be shown on TCM - Welles films on tv.

On May 18th Turner Classics Movies (TCM) will show Othello,
Mr. Arkadin, The Immortal Story, F for Fake, and The Trial.
All of them are on dvd except The Immortal Story which i have
a lousy vhs copy so i hope TCM shows a better print of the
film. TCM is the best source on tv to show great films and i
am happy to see them show anything with Welles!! :)

They missed Orson's birthday by 6 days, but that's still great news. I wonder which versions of Arkadin and Othello they'll use. Alas, no Falstaff.

According to the TCM site, they're showing the 99 minute Arkadin, which is good news as it's terribly obscure. If they're showing Confidential Report instead, then that's not as good, but I can at least upgrade my copy of that.

They don't mention which Othello it is. They don't reference it as being the restored version. Hopefully it isn't. Actually, there's one cut of Othello I haven't seen. They use part of it in the BBC Orson Welles Story. It has different narration as I recall. Maybe TCM is showing that one.

But...any bets they're just showing the Beatrice Othello and Confidential Report?
