Edmond Richard

Edmond Richard

Does anyone know if Edmond Richard has ever been interviewed. I've never seen anything; his name is barely mentioned in Welles biographies. He was Welles' director of photography for The Trial and Chimes at Midnight, and seems to have shot some of Don Quixote. His credits include three late Bunuel films, and he is still alive and has a credit from 2007. Any information would be appreciated.

Thank you for the link. I do not understand Spanish, but your link led me to an interview with Jess Franco, also in Spanish, about his work on Chimes At Midnight. If someone can transcribe it, it might be revelatory.

Interesting that the Spanish-language YouTube has many more Welles-related videos than the English-language one has, some I've never seen or even heard of before: http://mx.youtube.com/results?search_query=orson+welles

You can find a very interesting interview whit him by Thomas or/and Berthomé on the french revue Positif (n° 378, july 1992); he reveals a lot of details about his work on the Trial.
