I'll have to dig up my subtitled version and transcribe it. I liked the script and thought Welles' performance was brilliant. There may not be a version dubbed in English. Welles was also prevented from providing Italian narration for the In the Land of Don Quixote tv series, in that case because the network didn't like his American accent!
The Welles voice in "la ricotta" is dubbed - as all the others actors in the film and as all the actors of all italian films until the end of seventies or the beginning of eighties - because the direct sound recording is traditionally refused by the post WW2 italian cinema. In Pasolini film, Welles (dubbed by novelist Giorgio Bassani, author of "Il giardino dei Finzi-Contini") reads some verses of Pasolini poem "Poesia in forma di rosa".
