is it an insult to the movie when they do so? i heard on the radio this morning a quote from citizen kane. where susan is reading the papers and she says "you're awful funny aren't ya"

or do they do it because they are just running out of things to say?

bye now!

....................

it's called using 'drops.' as in something you drop in. i used to use kane screaming down the stairs, 'I'm no crooked poletician!' and a lot of 3 STOOGES drops.

a lot of rave djs use drops because they don't have a mic voice, and if they did, they would not know what to say.

for years they have been using from, TREASURE OF THE SIERRA MADRE, 'we don't need no stinkin batches.' the drop came in a record from warners, that had a lot of the tunes they own.

nah, not a form of dissrespect.

I like those "drops". Haven't heard one from Kane, but I find them amusing.

I was in a Borders the other day, and they were playing some rocked-up version of "the Charles Foster Kane song" from the Enquirer party. Since most of what I listen to is classical, I have no idea as to was performing it. Anybody have any ideas? Why would they record that?

ok. cool.

it's neat. when it's time to battle classics on the radio, sometimes a drop is from a movie like 'the breakfast club'. the principal, i think, saying "the next time i have to come in here, i'm cracking skulls"

and a remake of the song from the party. eww. male or females resing it? i like old ones and new ones too. but the songs i really can't stand are remakes of a good song. especially resang by the same singer in a different way. when i'm already used to the song the way i first heard, and liked, it.

bye now!

Welles Fan, the song you heard was "Union Forever" by the White Stripes. Why they chose it, I have no idea, but I like it. Good album, too.
