Larry French and Jeanne Moreau:  What a Couple!

No one has mentioned the beautiful poem that Jeanne Moreau wrote, which Larry French has posted on the News Page. She sent it to be read at Welles' AFI Honors Night. With a woman like her in your corner, you might endure many a sling and arrow.

And maybe I've mentioned it here, maybe not, but Jeanne Moreau is in a new Francoise Ozon film, coming out in a few weeks. She plays the 30 year-old hero's beautiful grandmother. He likes to crawl in bed with her because he knows she sleeps in the nude.

Not quite as salacious as it sounds, but at 78, Ms. Moreau looks pretty good.

Glenn

I think Jeanne Moreau can safely take the title of the world's most glamourous Grandmother, now that Marlene is gone, and she is certainly marvelous in Francois Ozon's TIME TO LEAVE.

And of course, since her grandson in the film is gay, the scene is really about the familial love shared between the two, since both know they will be dying soon.

True, Todd, but I was trying to whomp up a "time to go" frisson in my description of the relationship in Ozon's TIME TO GO, so as to attract the widest audience.

Gad, you've seen TIME TO GO, too? Like the Devil and Stephen Murray at Epinions, you never sleep.

Glad you agree that it's a good film.
