This is one of the two times I've found Welles as guest panelist on a quiz show (the other was on WHAT'S MY LINE on TV in the 1950s.) Quite a hoot.

The entry in THIS IS ORSON WELLES states that Welles answered every question correctly (I think not) and made frequent appearances on the show (according to the Haendiges complete show log, this was his first and only.)

On the following week's show Clifton Fadiman corrected one of Welles' answers from the 1942-09-18 program, and acknowledged that another of his answers originally scored as wrong was indeed correct. But Welles himself never appeared again. (This according to the entry in radiogoldindex.com.)
