Recently, I was asked about search tips for the site.

I'd like to suggest that visitors looking for the latest news or opinions take full advantage of the filter on the main page of the Wellesnet message board BOARD INDEX marked VIEW ACTIVE TOPICS (it's on the left, under the time and date).

It is a quick way of checking out what topics have received new posts in the past 24 hours, week, 2 weeks, month, 3 months, 6 months or year.

There is also a filter View New Topics, which will show what is new between log-ins. However, I find the former to be far more useful.

If you are like me, you want to see the latest posts first when you open a forum topic and not have to click to page 10 or so for the most recent post. If so, it is easy to reset your personal settings:
To change your settings:
Click USER CONTROL PANEL on the top left of the page.
Click EDIT DISPLAY OPTIONS
Change DISPLAY POST ORDER DIRECTION (the last offering on the bottom of the page) from Ascending to Descending.
Click SUBMIT
