Pery Martins (re-named his star name to Pery Ribeiro, was son of the composer Herivelto Martins and singer Dalva de Oliveira, stars of Urca Casino) was the original crooner from "Girl from Ipanema" - he died one month ago...
He also made an appearance in the IT'S ALL TRUE documentary from 1993, singing "Praca Onze" with Grande Otello.
