I'm in the midst of a new projecy, very hush hush, but can anyone tell me where I can find Welles' Amberson script online?

That depends, are you talking about the shooting script, the released-version's cutting continuity, or the cutting continuity of Welles' original cut?

Shooting script? I'm not sure. Released cutting continuity? I'm sure a search with google should turn up something. Original cutting continuity? Only one source, The Magnificent Ambersons - A Reconstruction by Robert Carringer. Out of print, but a great book if you can find it (check out your library).

Looks like I've got to plunk down for that book then, and the original cut, btw. I'm shooting it for a school thing.

Hello Rex,

I found an interesting item on eBay. I haven't seen this item auctioned off before but it does very much appear to be on the lines of what you're looking for:

Best Regards,

Thank you Dylan!!!

That was exactly what I was looking for, although it is quite a shame someone beat me to it with Buy-it-Now.

Check in on ebay again in a couple of days. I think that's either the third or fourth Ambersons cutting continuity that has come up for bid, by the same seller. I bought one myself, and it's the same as what you'll find in Carringer's book, although the book has a lot more information about the film, and also includes the scenes that were cut/reshot. That book is a must for any Ambersons fan. :)
