I hope you don't mind a newcomer tooting his own horn, but I have a new story out in which Orson Welles is the central focus.

I hope I've done him justice in this piece. He's a fascinating, mercurial, and perhaps tragic figure. I've been a fan of Welles's films since I was a teenager. This website is a great resource and I have found your discussions here very interesting.

Dear John: Thank you for sharing this piece with us.
The part taking place in 1942 is well observed and written, but the Detlev's character is a bit shaky, and also, Welles' easy acceptance of him, and the stuff in the future doesn't work very well either, but the combination of Welles, the Movies, and SciFi is appealing.
It's the kind of thing that might be turned into an excellent screenplay.
