Hello onetimechimes - No, I haven't found it either, but I saw a listing on eBay yesterday for the '73 AFI Salute to John Huston. I emailed the seller for help finding OW's and he told me it was distributed by Castle Vision Video. He's in the U.K., so I'm not sure that, even if we could find OW's video, it would be compatible (assuming you are in the U.S. and looking for an NTSC version). I googled Castle Vision without any luck, but maybe you know where else to look for this distributor. Hope this helps. I'm looking for this one and Orson Welles: One Man Band.

I have the AFI Award presentation with Orson that showed clips from The Other Side Of The Wind. And a video, I'm not sure if it's One Man Band but it shows clips from Orson's unreleased works and interviews with Oja Kodar. And a 1982 UK interview with Orson. All these I got from someone off of Ebay close to a year ago. Hope this helps anyone. Feel free to contact me.

Hi - A message for everyone looking for these three shows: The AFI presentation, "One Man Band," and the BBC OW interview. I got good copies from Chris. Not great, but they're fine. ("One Man Band" appears under the title "The Lost Films of OW.") The AFI presentation was kind of interesting, a time capsule of the mid-70's in a way. Best part was Welles' speech and the clip he shows from TOSOTW, which is also in "Lost Films."
"Lost Films" was intriguing. Amazing how much unfinished work he left behind. And hearing Oja Kodan's stories about him was a treat. This tape shows two clips from TOSOTW, one of which OW showed at the AFI tribute, perhaps to drum up some support to finish it. And lots of other wonderful footage on this tape.
But the real topper was the two-part, 3 hour interview. Welles was as articulate and forthcoming as ever. This took place in '82 and I think he wanted to get it all down for the record before it was too late. I now feel I understand him so much better. There are also interviews with his cast/co-stars that I found very revealing as well.
I told Chris I'd be happy to vouch for him. He gave me the three shows on four tapes (SP record mode) for $25, including shipping.
He's at: chriskoc@msn.com. Enjoy - arvium3

As I recall, Lost Films is identical to One Man Band with one exception - the deletion of the sex scene from The Other Side of the Wind, which was set in the beckseat of a car and was incredibly well done - Orson could have done the Citizen Kane of porn had he wanted. Wonder which version of One Man Band will be on the forthcoming Criterion F for Fake DVD?

Yes, nice to see this scene in "Lost Films." Raciest thing I've even seen in his work. And Oja Kodar's description of the shot, using garden hoses for the rain and so on - once again I see how resourceful OW was.
Slight correction. The 3 videos are recorded in LP mode, not SP as I wrote above.
