Only 2.99! a pretty good bargain. There was another for $5 which I just bought for myself. Better cover than the one I checked out from my library too

Good eye, Nate. Thanks for the head's up. And it's a good excuse to remind ourselves about Wellesnet's Amazon.com affiliation.

You're here reading this because you really enjoy the Wellesnet experience, right? And why not? It's a vibrant, spontaneous, rewarding; a great place to be. Small wonder it's lasted intact for so many years. Kudos galore to Jeff Wilson, a feller far too modest and self-effacing to consider, let alone post, a message like this. Unencumbered by such virtues, however, I have no problem in doing it.

So, when we see something - anything - that strikes our fancy at Amazon, why not go through the handy dandy Wellesnet-Amazon Link on our way through to it? In fact, why not paste the link into your browser's "Favorites"? Same goods, same price - but with one terrific bonus that no other approach can offer: a nice little "beep" of real support for Wellesnet. And we already know what, in Jeff's hands, that kind of support can produce.

looks like they ran out of the $2.99 PUT MONEY IN THY PURSE, and now only have the $59.99 put money in thy purse.

and here it is at www.half.com for 95 smackers

http://half.ebay.com/cat/buy/prod.cgi?cpid=1186686544

it's a great read, but 60 bucks, or 95 bucks for a book is strictly for collectors. i'm not a collector, i really don't care how i get the book as long as i get it. if you are not a collector and want to read the book, it's available through the local public library through inner library loan. get it from library, and make yourself a copy. that is how i got mine. it's in a lose leaf note book, and frankly, it's more convenient to read in a lose leaf note book than it is in book form because with a book you have to use both hands. in a lose leaf note book you can turn the pages with one hand, and drink mead's chaucer wine with the other

Very cheap copy of this (at least at the moment) on eBay. This is the edition I have, which went out of print a few years ago.

Probably not a practical idea, but I was just wondering,

for books like this that are long out of print, but have a dedicated and limited appeal (total demand = less than 100 copies) is there any way to verify that the book is in the public domain due to non-maintaince of copyright and just do a limited reprint? Printers can now do very limited runs. Just thinking . . .
