
Mark Cousins documentary The Eyes of Orson Welles and five films from the late director will be screened later this month at the Brattle Theatre in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
A DCP of Cousins’ examination Welles’ work as a visual artist runs daily on June 21-27. The Eyes of Orson Welles had its premiere as a Cannes Classics Official Selection at the 71st Cannes Film Festival in May 2018.
In addition, the movie theater will screen a 35mm print of Citizen Kane on June 22; a DCP double feature of The Lady from Shanghai and Touch of Evil on June 23; a DCP of Chimes at Midnight on June 26; and a 35mm print of F for Fake on June 27.
The non-profit theater near Harvard Square is known for its repertory programming consisting of films from a particular director, genre, or subject shown over the course of a week, or on the same weekday throughout the month.
Tickets are sold at the Brattle box office by cash, check ($20 minimum), and credit card.
The Brattle box office generally opens a half hour before the first show of the day; tickets for each subsequent showtime go on sale 30 minutes after the previous show has started.
