According to the Paley Center, Welles discussed opening night of “The Cradle Will Rock”; why he no longer lives in the United States; his outsider status; why he is hated by some people; his career as a film director and actor; the radio broadcast of “War of the Worlds”; his experiences on radio; why he demanded so much control over his movies; his lack of great wealth; his personal religious philosophy; his views on the future of humanity; his ideas about life after death; his relationship with Houdini; his childhood; his regrets; and what he does for fun.

The Criterion Collection will release F for Fake on Blu-ray on October 21.
It will carry a suggested list price of $39.95 and contain features familiar to those who own the standard DVD set.

Criterion will also be releasing, for the first time, John Ford’s My Darling Clementine. It boasts a new 4K digital restoration of the theatrical release version of the film, with uncompressed monaural soundtrack. The extras include a new audio commentary by John Ford biographer (and Welles scholar) Joseph McBride.
