
California’s Newport Beach Film Festival will screen Orson Welles’ Othello on April 26 as part of a centennial tribute to the late director.
Othello will be twinned with Oliver Parker’s film Fade to Black. Danny Huston plays Welles’ in the 2006 fictional drama about Welles’ living in Europe in late 1940s.
Following the two films, there will be a panel discussion, Orson Welles in Exile, focusing on Welles’ work in Europe. Panelists have not yet been identified.
