Orson Welles’ former Las Vegas home up for sale

Orson Welles’ former home at 3189 Montecito Drive, Las Vegas.

The Las Vegas home that Orson Welles shared with his wife, Paola Mori, and their daughter, Beatrice, is on the market.

Welles and his wife purchased the home at 3189 Montecito Drive on Nov. 20, 1978, according to Clark County, Nevada, records. (The family had moved to Las Vegas after living in Sedona, Arizona, since early 1977.)

Welles passed away in 1985 and his widow died in a car accident the following year. Beatrice Welles sold the home she inherited on March 19, 1990.

The house has had two owners since then. It was placed on the market six months ago.

Following two price reductions, the house is now listed for $549,900, according to Matt Suiter Real Estate.

Built in 1971, the 3,800-square-foot house has five bedrooms and four bathrooms. There is an attached three-car garage, in-ground pool and fenced in backyard with riding trails nearby.

No mention is made of its famous past owner.

Interior photographs of the house and surrounding property may be found online at Luxury Estates or at zillow.com/homedetails/3189-Montecito-Dr-Las-Vegas-NV-89120/7153503_zpid/
