Frank Marshall will receive the American Cinema Editors’ Golden Eddie Filmmaker of the Year Award, during the 65th annual ACE Eddie Awards on January 30 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Previous ACE Golden Eddie honorees have included Steven Spielberg, Clint Eastwood and Christopher Nolan.

From Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, The Sixth Sense and the Back to the Future trilogy, among so many others, Mr. Marshall has made — and continues to make — a profound and indelible contribution to the cinematic landscape,” said the ACE board of directors in a statement. “Frank Marshall has helped shape American film.”

He began his Hollywood career as an assistant to director Peter Bogdanovich on Targets in 1968 and worked on several of his early films before serving as Orson Welles’ line producer on The Other Side of the Wind in the early 1970s. In October 2014, Marshall and producers Filip Jan Rymsza and Jens Koethner Kaul announced they would complete the unfinished Welles’ film.

Marshall is also producing the fourth installment in the Jurassic Park franchise, Jurassic World, which opens on June 12.

The father of two, Marshall is married to Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy.

Marshall, Kennedy and Steven Spielberg founded Amblin Entertainment in 1981. A decade later, he co-founded The Kennedy/Marshall Company.
