Marking the centennial of Orson Welles’ birth, Beatrice Welles was a featured guest on the WNYM-AM970 morning show in New Jersey on Sunday, May 17.

Speaking with host Frank Morano, she talked at length about her childhood and family life, her father’s film work, a planned art exhibit,  an upcoming book now in the early stages, and the current crowdfunding campaign to complete The Other Side of the Wind.

“It’s appropriate in the end, it’s not the establishment that is funding him, it’s the people and that is exactly what he would have wanted,” she said of the Indiegogo campaign. “If the Internet had existed when he was alive, this is exactly the kind of thing he would have done. I just pray and hope that the public wants to see this movie enough. It’s up to the public now.”

The nearly half-hour interview with Morano begins at the nine-minute mark at https://soundcloud.com/the-morano-show/5-17-15-fiveam-orson-welles. It can be heard on the embedded audio below.
