The 2014 Turner Classic Film Festival will screen a restored “Touch of Evil” during its four-day fest this spring.
The Orson Welles film will be shown along side “Best Years of Our Lives,” “Gone With the Wind,” “Double Indemnity” and “The Pawnbroker” on April 10-13 in Hollywood.
According to TCM, the showing will be the “world premiere restoration reconstructed from the original camera negative presented in collaboration with Universal Studios.”
“Though Welles’ original cut is lost to history, this version includes the 1998 reconstruction by producer Rick Schmidlin and editor/sound designer Walter Murch using Welles’ 1958 notes and a new, painstakingly restored original negative,” TCM stated.

Last spring, Michael Daruty, head of Universal’s Technical Operations, told TIME that a Blu-ray of “Touch of Evil” was being readied for release.
