Actress Arlene McQuade, who played a member of the hoodlum gang in Touch of Evil, has died. She was 77.
McQuade was the first wife of actor Valentin de Vargas, who played Pancho in the Orson Welles thriller. De Vargas died in June 2013 at the age of 78.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, McQuade died April 21 in a nursing home in Santa Fe after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. She was best known as Rosalie on the CBS version of The Goldbergs.
McQuade began working on radio and television shows at age 12. A member of the New York Actors Studio, McQuade inked a contract with Universal Pictures and left for California in 1957.
She was cast as Ginnie in Touch of Evil.
Her TV appearances included Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Have Gun – Will Travel, Hawaii Five-O and Death Valley Days.
McQuade is survived by her husband, Chad, two children, three grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a sister.
