Jack Black has made an amusing appearance on Comedy Central’s Drunk History recounting the making of Orson Welles’ landmark 1941 film Citizen Kane.

For newcomers, Drunk History features a celebrity recalling a historical event while (supposedly) drunk. As the celebrity narrates the tale, the celebrity and actors play out the narrator’s version.

Black takes on the role of Welles. John Lithgow makes an appearance as William Randolph Hearst and Drunk History creator Derek Waters co-stars as screenwriter Herman Mankiewicz

You can view the video below or at YouTube.

Black is familiar with Welles. For Peter Jackson’s 2005 remake of King Kong, Black said he based his role of Carl Denham on Welles and P.T. Barnum.
