To mark the recent passing of famed documentarian Albert Maysles, we offer his 1966 documentary short Orson Welles in Spain.
The 10-minute 16mm piece detais Welles’ early efforts to get funding for what would eventually become The Other Side of the Wind.
The Massachusetts-born Maysles died on March 5, 2015 at the age of 88.
He and his late younger brother, David, created such works as Meet Marlon Brando, Gimme Shelter and Grey Gardens.
