Wisconsin Film Festival honors Orson Welles

The Wisconsin Film Festival is set to show four films featuring Orson Welles to honor the 100th anniversary of his birth.

Offerings include the silent, recently discovered and restored Too Much Johnson from 1938 and his Shakespearean adaptation Chimes at Midnight from 1965.

Also on the bill are the Richard Fleischer melodrama Crack in the Mirror (1960) and Chuck Workman’s 2014 documentary Magician: The Astonishing Life and Work of Orson Welles.

The Wisconsin festival runs April 9-16 in Madison.
