Orson Welles and the Unfinished RKO Projects

Post by WellesFan »

Has anyone read the book Orson Welles and the Unfinished RKO Projects? Is it any good? Seems more like a critical examination of Welles than a book on film history. But I'm not sure. Is there anything you can tell me about it?

Here's another thread started here some years ago. Dr. Rippy's is a good book, worth getting.

The Kindle version is available at Amazon and you can also buy the paperback.

My saddest "Unfulfilled Orson" is the potential DRACULA film he spoke to Bogdanovich about...

Welles' respect for Authors' Intent, coupled with an OTHELLO-era Euro production, and with the promise shown by his CBS version...?

*sigh*

Merriest,

Thanks for the links to the other threads.

After reading everything, I can't quite tell. Is this a book of journalism and about Welles time at RKO or is it a critical analysis? I'm looking for the former.
