About $5,000 for the final bronzing and siting in the Sculpture Garden next to the mural with on-site recognition is still needed.

Tax deductible contributions may be made to Friends of the Opera House / Mural Fund; BMO Harris Bank; 225 West Jackson Street; Woodstock, Illinois 60098.

Those wishing to donate toward the statue can find  more details at woodstockmural.org/support

On Wellesnet Facebook I remarked that the Woodstock Welles statue reminded me a bit of the Thatcher statue in CITIZEN KANE, and wondered whether that still existed, Seth Alexander Thevoz offered this reply, which I never would have guessed:
The Thatcher statue was a miniature, made from lurpak/butter, and added in to the rest of the set as a trick shot, via an optical printer - not an easy undertaking on a moving camera panning upwards.

I would imagine the original's melted by now!
