Interesting list - thanks. But IT'S ALL TRUE finally got made, although the rumor was for years that all the footage had been dumped off, I believe, the coast of Santa Barbara. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong, please.)
I'm going to look for OW's SKETCHBOOK and O's BAG.

Great list. I saw another interesting list their lately. It was on the website garygraver.com
It was a list Gary made about all his movie credits. He left out most of the adult stuff. On it he wrote that in 1979 he directed a few music videos. They were made for Polygram and filmed in New York. One of the bands was called Whiteface and another was called southside Johnny. I was just thinking maybe Gary asked Welles how to shot them. It would be great to see a music video that was co directed by Orson Welles.
I saw the movie 3 a.m. a few weeks ago. I think Welles helped Gary with more than the editing. I am not saying he directed any of it. I just mean he probably had a little more to do with it than just editing the shower scene.
It was also on Gary's list that he shot a few of the television commercials that Orson Welles directed.
One of them was the Nikka whiskey commercial.
I heard rumours that Welles edited a few movie trailers. He edited some of the trailers for his own films and ones for other movies too. I think he edited the original trailer for The Immortal Story. It's one of my favourite films by Orson Welles.

Nifty list of unseen Welles

Post by Joe G »

I would love to know what he meant by Italian T.V. Productions 1969, Welles directed numerous productions for Italian television. It's the best list of Orson Welles filmography I have ever read. Their are things on it that I have never heard of before like the documentary Welles directed for the BBC. The Method 1961 Welles directed a documentary on the actor's studio for the BBC. That one is new to me. It's a shame that no one would back him. Some of them would have made brilliant movies especially in the hands of a genius like Welles.

The Method was actually broadcast in 1958 on ITV. Welles didn't direct it but is meant to have appeared in it. This TV special was meant to have concluded with a studio discussion involving actors and playwrights. My best guess is Welles was part of this discussion. I've been unable to confirm if it still exists or is missing.

I think the entry titled 'ITALIAN TV PRODUCTIONS (1969)' may be an error and is actually another reference to Orson's TV work in Italy that year, specifically the filming of the Orson's Bag TV Special. 3 other entries on the list are essentially all this same project or part of it: ORSON'S BAG (1970), THE MERCHANT OF VENICE (1970) & AROUND THE WORLD WITH ORSON WELLES (1969).

It's definitely an interesting list, especially in terms of the unfilmed scripts, but there does seem to be quite a lot of errors in it. This could be partly due to how old the list is and what sources were used or were available at the time. But looking at this list now, I'd definitely recommend verifying items and info against other sources.

Hi cinescot,
Thanks very much for the information. I appreciate it. Their was one other thing that Welles was involved with that I would love to know more about. The 1962 movie No Exit. If you ever hear anything about it you might post it online please. Know one seems to know much about it. I have seen the trailer for it on YouTube but as far as I know the movie is not available on DVD. I thought the trailer looked really interesting. It had a kind of Twilight Zone feel to it.
All the best,
Bye

No problem. Re. The 1962 film 'No Exit': I hadn't heard of it but if I come across anything I will post over in the topic you have created for that film.
