Gudrun Ure (1926-2024)

Gudrun Ure, who starred opposite Orson Welles in a 1951 stage version of Shakespeare's "Othello," died on May 14, 2024. She was 98.

I wonder if anyone ever interviewed her about her experience onstage with Welles. If not, too bad.
Welles' makeup looks darker than the film version.

As Ann Gudrun, she appeared in 2 1950s British film noirs alongside American actors. In 36 Hours (1953) she starred with Dan Duryea and Denis 0'Keefe as a T-Man in The Diamond Wizard. Appropriately stiff upper-lipped in THE SEA SHALL NOT HAVE THEM /1954) of whom Noel Coward quipped about the three leading stars, "I don't see why not. Everyone else has".
