Indeed. Thanks, Hadji.

I remember seeing this documentary when it was first broadcast.

I've never seen that show on film before. The DVD I have is video, and I can vouch that the visual quality is decent, but with a bit of tape hiss on the soundtrack (transferred directly from VHS?)

I wonder how the show would be in Blu ray from a top quality source. It's an interesting program.

Welles mentions that he was fascinated by Tutankhamen since he was a boy (he was around seven years old when the tomb was discovered in 1922), so he does seem pretty engaged in his hosting duties.

A film school professor of mine back in the early 1990s, Geoge Heinemann (https://www.nytimes.com/1996/08/31/arts ... chool.html), had been the producer of "Tut, the Boy King." He showed us the program in class, and he talked about working with Welles. He said that Welles was very difficult. During the first day of shooting, Welles started yelling about how poorly written the narration was. The writer was there, and, hurt and embarassed, he left the set and didn't return. Then on the last day of shooting, Welles told Heinemann, "This program is very well written. Who wrote this?" And Heinemann said, "He isn't here, Mr. Welles. He left when you were disparaging the script on the first day."
