Re: OW commercials for Perrier
A leading publicist I knew in Hollywood -- one of the smartest
and most sophisticted publicists I ever met -- told me he was
consulted by Perrier about how to promote their bottled water in the US.
He said they were going to sell it for 39 cents a bottle. He told
them that would not work, since it would make the product
seem cheap in the bad sense. He said he suggested they up
the price to 69 cents, which caused it to take off.
