Michael Schlesinger worked at Paramount Pictures and Sony Pictures before producing his own work. During his time at Paramount, he supported the 1993 documentary It’s All True: Based on an Unfinished Film By Orson Welles. Schlesinger at one point had tried to interest Paramount in completing The Other Side of the Wind. He also scoured the vaults at Sony Pictures for cut footage from The Lady from Shanghai when he was a vice president there.

Re: Mike Schlesinger (1950-2025)
Though well known to figures such as Joe McBride and others, he is definitely an "unsung hero" for most of us and his devotion and sincerity to the Wellesian cause needs trumpeting similar to those devices in Hotspur's castle in CHIMES AT MIDNIGHT, a delicious take-off of all those medieval movies of the 50s. Definitely someone to be remembered.
